I have been playing a Rogue cheapo mandolin for almost 5 years now. It is time I graduate to a better one..but being about as broke as I am it will have to be a used one. (Where are the garage sales with 500.00 mandolins for 25.00 these days..idk) If anyone sees a good one at a great price...please let me know. I play it mainly at church...we do acoustic sets of old hymns with Mando, guitar, penny whistle and fiddle a great deal...and I even throw it out when we are rocking sometimes to get a more celtic feel. My current one is showing wear and tear...the neck is just not the best and having played a few nicers ones at shops...I know what I am missing.
If you know of anything yell...and if not, and have a great mandolin...put me in your will.
